Oahu

Hustling, bustling, an island of surprises and delights. It’s easy to sea why they call Oahu "The Gathering Place." Home to the renowned Waikiki Beach, the legendary Diamond Head volcano and the capital city, Honolulu, Oahu has it all. Beaches, water sports, snorkeling, scuba diving, plus a whirlwind of shopping and nightlife. Waikiki is a wonderland of activity by day, with it’s own zoo, ocean aquarium and national sites, including Pearl Harbor and the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. By night, the city comes to life with entertainment of every kind, from smooth jazz to Tahitian dancing.

In contrast, the remote Windward Side of Oahu evokes the splendor of Sunset Beach, with soaring surf and white sands. Here you can watch surfers chase 30-foot waves on the Banzai Pipeline. Along the North Shore, towering cliffs cut a jagged edge through Waimea Falls Park to secluded bays of calming waters. (top)
